Part Used : Stem bark
The drug Arjun consists of the stem bark of Terminalia arjuna (Roxb.ex DC.)Wt. & Arn. (Combretaceae); a large deciduous tree, commonly found throughout the greater parts of the country.
Temperament: Hot and Dry
Action(s): Astringent (Qabiz), Agent decreasing blood viscosity (Muraqqiq-e-Dam), Antipyretic (Dafi-e-Humma)
Theraputic Use(s): Cardiac insufficiency(Zof-e-Qalb), Palpitation(Khafaqan), Carditis (Waram-e-Qalb), Abnormality of blood(Fasad-e-Dam), Diarrhoea(Ishal), Dysentery(Sangrahni), Chronic fevers(Hummiyat Muzmina)
