ANGOOR

The drug Angoor consists of dried mature fruits of Vitis vinifera L. (Vitaceae); a deciduous climber, mostly cultivated in north western India in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir for their use as dessert fruit. However, the dried fruits, known in trade as ‘Raisins’, are mostly imported into India, from the Middle East and Southern European countries

  • Action(s): Nutritive (Mughazzi), Haematogenic (Muwwalid-e- Dam), Adipogenous (Mubhi), Tonic for whole body (Muqawwi-e-Badan), Thirst quencher (Musakkin-e-Atash), Laxative (Mulaiyin)

  • Theraputic Use(s): General weakness (Zof Aam), Polydipsia (Atash Mufrit), Anaemia (Faqr-ud-Dam), Chronic Fever (Humma Muzmina), Constipation (Qabz)

  • Dose: 125-250g
