The drug Ankol consists of dried leaf of Alangium salviifolium (L. f.) Wang. (Alangiaceae); a small tree found over the plains and foothills throughout India
Temperament: Hot 20 and Moist 20
Action(s): Beneficial for disorders related with phlegm (Nafi-e-Amraz-e-Balgham), Resolvent of swelling/Anti-inflammatory (Mohallil-e-Waram)
