The drug Bhangra consists of whole plant of Eclipta prostrata (L.) L. (Asteraceae); a herbaceous annual, 30-50 cm high, erect or prostrate, much branched, strigosely hirsute, often rooting at nodes, a common weed of moist places found throughout India ascending upto1700 m
Temperament: Hot and Dry
Action(s): Blood purifier (Musaffi-e-Khoon), Aphrodisiac (Muqawwi-e-Bah), Eye tonic (Muqawwi-e-Basar), Carminative (Kasir-e-Riyah), Resolvent (Mohallil), Hair cleanser (Musaffi-e-Shar)
Theraputic Use(s): Sexual debility(Zof-e-Bah), Hepatomegaly(Izm-e-Kabid), Splenomegaly(Izm-e-Tehal)
Dose: 5-7 g.
