BAI KHUMBI

The drug Bai Khumbi consists of dried seed of Careya arborea Roxb. (Lecythidaceae); a medium sized deciduous tree attaining a height of 9 to 18 m. occurring throughout India up to an altitude of 1,500 m.
Temperament: Moderate towards Hotness and Dryness.
Action(s): Carminative (Kasir-e-Riyah), Laxative (Mulaiyin), Concoctive (Munzij)
Theraputic Use(s): Flatulence (Nafkh-e-Shikam), Constipation(Qabz)
Dose: 500 mg - 1 g.
